Sunday, January 21 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Sunday, repeating until Sunday, January 21, 2024

January 7th and 21st from 9:00-11:30am (there is an online self-paced pre-training that you can take at a time that is convenient for you)

Similar to physical First Aid and CPR, Youth Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis until professional assistance is obtained or the crisis is resolved, using an action plan. It is a skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge.

The class will be taught by Rachel Shyloski, who is a social worker and Camp Director at Camp Mountain Chai and Amy Epner, who is a licensed clinical psychologist and the Coordinator of Mental Health and Wellness at Camp Mountain Chai.

This class is free of charge, thanks to the Teen Wellness Coalition at the Jewish Federation of San Diego.

Space is limited, so click the button below to sign up today!
