Rosh Hodesh Girls Program & Shevet Achim Boys Program
Rosh Hodesh: It’s a Girl Thing! uses Jewish teachings and practices to give girls a place to feel safe, articulate their deepest concerns, consider the impact of gender on their daily lives, have fun, and be ‘real’ with their peers. Shevet Achim: The Brotherhood, gives boys a chance to explore what masculinity and being Jewish means to them. The guys can “decompress” from stress and balance clowning and horseplay with deep discussions of what Judaism has to say about the ethical challenges of their every day lives. For more information and to sign up for Rosh Chodesh, visit the Boys/Girls Programs page.
Youth and Teen Music Program
Beth Israel offers opportunities for students of various ages and abilities to participate in creating music. Rabbi/Cantor Arlene Bernstein directs our youth music program, which includes Youth Choir, Teen Choir and Teen Band. For more information visit the Music Program page.
Monthly Teen Shabbat (7th grade -12th Grade)
Join us beginning in the fall for our monthly teen service in the Chapel at 6:00 p.m. Spend your Shabbat with friends from BITY, NOAR, and all of Beth Israel’s youth to sing, pray, and enjoy a special Shabbat experience. Following services we have our own Shabbat Teen-Only Oneg in the Feuerstein Family Activity Center. Read more about Teen Worship Services.
