Building for the Future

Restoring our campus & creating a Mikvah

Thanks to the generosity of our congregation, more than $8 million has already been raised toward our $12 million goal. Now we are in the final stretch, and participation from members at every level will help bring this vision to completion. Beth Israel has always been built by the many, not the few.

Every gift strengthens the joy, connection, and support that define Beth Israel. We invite you to consider a contribution that feels meaningful to you and reflects the role Beth Israel plays in your life and in the future of our community. Please make you donation or pledge below.

Meet Manny and David

Since joining Beth Israel, Manny and I have embarked on an incredibly joyous and fulfilling journey. We've found a true Jewish home within a warm, loving community. Our involvement includes weekly Shabbat, Torah study, Jew Jam, starting the Keshet group (LGBTQIA+) along with others, and helping out wherever possible. This past year, I was honored to be elected to the board, allowing me to support this vibrant Reform Jewish temple even more. Both of us are special education teachers for students with extensive needs, and it brings us so much "Simcha" to be part of a community that wholeheartedly welcomes and embraces everyone who walks through its gates.

Meet Jason

I currently serve as one of the co-chairs of the Congregation Beth Israel Social Action Network. Growing up in Puerto Rico, I saw firsthand the challenges faced by the historically neglected communities within our society and quickly learned the importance of Tikun Olam. Congregation Beth Israel has given me a platform to continue helping others, while also creating opportunities to meet other congregants and help them give back to the broader San Diego community.
