World Zionist Congress Campaign - Vote Now!

1000 X 500 Px CBI Media V1 Group

We need your vote! The World Zionist Congress (WZC) is a democratically elected body that convenes every five years to bring together representatives from Jewish communities around the world to decide on key issues affecting the Jewish people in Israel and globally. It is the Reform movement’s opportunity to have a voice in Israel and stand up for pluralism, equality, security, and a path to peace. The voting began on March 10th and ends on May 4th. We need your help to protect Reform Judaism in Israel

Building for the future

Restoring our campus & creating a mikvah

Our temple faces the necessary challenges of maintaining our buildings adequately and appropriately. At the same time, we have a unique opportunity to construct a mikvah on the Beth Israel campus and establish a mikvah program for our membership and for the greater San Diego Jewish community.

Meet Manny and David

Since joining Beth Israel, Manny and I have embarked on an incredibly joyous and fulfilling journey. We've found a true Jewish home within a warm, loving community. Our involvement includes weekly Shabbat, Torah study, Jew Jam, starting the Keshet group (LGBTQIA+) along with others, and helping out wherever possible. This past year, I was honored to be elected to the board, allowing me to support this vibrant Reform Jewish temple even more. Both of us are special education teachers for students with extensive needs, and it brings us so much "Simcha" to be part of a community that wholeheartedly welcomes and embraces everyone who walks through its gates.

Meet Jason

I currently serve as one of the co-chairs of the Congregation Beth Israel Social Action Network. Growing up in Puerto Rico, I saw firsthand the challenges faced by the historically neglected communities within our society and quickly learned the importance of Tikun Olam. Congregation Beth Israel has given me a platform to continue helping others, while also creating opportunities to meet other congregants and help them give back to the broader San Diego community.
