The Beth Israel Hunger Project is a shining example of how one person’s vision can make a huge impact on their community. Founded by Beth Israel’s member, Joan Kutner over 37 years ago, this project has fed hundreds of thousands of people in need. The Hunger Project feed between 400 and 750 adults every Sunday between 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.

During the pandemic, the dining room was closed for volunteers to help serve. However, as of February 2023, the dining room is accepting volunteers to help set-up, serve, and clean up. Your help is needed now more than ever.

By volunteering your time and energy, you can make a real difference in the lives of those who are struggling. To sign up to volunteer, simply create an account at Father Joe’s Villages volunteer hub below. Please note volunteers must be signed up in advance, as walk-ins are not accepted.

If you are unable to volunteer, you may support this cause by making a contribution to the Hunger Project. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of those in need and build a stronger, more compassionate community.
