Update as of October 5, 2022–St Vincent de Paul – Father Joe’s is still serving meals to those in need every Sunday. However, the dining room is still closed for serving brunch. Volunteer needs currently are limited. We encourage you to set up your volunteer account with St. Vincent de Paul and submit your vaccination card (as instructed below), so when the dining room does open we are ready to go!

The Beth Israel Hunger Project was founded by member Joan Kutner over 35 years ago and has fed hundreds of thousands in need.  The Hunger Project has relied on wonderful volunteers like you to help us serve brunch to hundreds of San Diego’s homeless and hungry on Sunday mornings.  Your help is needed to set-up, serve and clean up.

The Hunger Project feeds between 400 and 750 adults and children, between 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. every Sunday at Father Joe’s Village at 1501 Imperial Avenue, San Diego.  Proof of vaccination is required. In order to participate, you must click the link below to sign up to volunteer.

The E-mail address for sending copies (front and back) of a vaccination record is Liza.Heredia@neighbor.org.
