The Zimriyah Chorale sings at the 1st Erev Shabbat Service of the month and at special services and events including Selichot, Rosh Hashanah and Chanukah. All are welcome to sing with the choir. You don’t need to know how to read music. Choir rehearsals are from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.
Youth Music Program
Beth Israel offers opportunities for students of various ages and abilities to participate in creating music. Rabbi/Cantor Arlene Bernstein, who directs our youth music program notes that “Music often provides healing for the spirit. Singing and playing a musical instrument can be a powerful conduit for better communication, healthy self-esteem and a possible gateway to a better life.” Read about our Youth and Teen Choir and Teen Band below.
