This moment in the new Jewish year is well timed for us to take the intentions we reflected on during High Holy Days and put them into action. And this moment in history calls for us to step up, say “Hineni – here I am,” and act to advance our Jewish values in California. For the second year, Reform Jewish social justice leaders will come together in regional gatherings to reflect on the current moment, share the lessons from our congregational work, and talk about how we can move forward together to bring about the California of our dreams. At last year’s RAC-CA regional gatherings, connections were forged among Reform Jewish social justice leaders from around the state, and people came away energized for the work ahead. This year’s gatherings should prove even more dynamic.

This gathering is for all those involved in your congregational social justice teams. It will include both time for networking and learning from each other and also discussion of some of the deep challenges we encounter in working for justice. Please mark your calendars now and coordinate with others from your congregation to attend together.
