Men’s Club Dinner Forum: San Diego International Jewish Film Festival Previews
Wednesday, January 16, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
The San Diego International Jewish Film Festival is the longest running entertainment of its kind. Programmed and operated by the San Diego Center for Jewish Culture, this is the 29th annual festival. The films being presented at the Festival encompass a wide array of human condition, covering topics from human rights and freedom of expression to simple celebration of life itself.
Linda Levine, Outreach Chair of the Festival will be presenting information on the films this year along with a member of the Film Selection Committee. There will be trailers shown of a number of the films scheduled during the festival, which is in February 2019.
The Center for Jewish Culture which sponsors the Festival hopes to raise awareness about diversity within the Jewish community as well as appreciation and pride for what that community has accomplished. They promise world class entertainment that captures what it means to be Jewish in the modern world through modern and historical lenses. This year the festival will be at four venues, with 65 films from 17 countries screened.
This program is open to the entire San Diego community, both men and women. Temple or Men’s Club Membership is not a requirement to attend.
The dinner fee is $18 with an RSVP and $20 without RSVP and includes a deli buffet.
