Our speaker, Dan Schwimmer, will discuss the situation with Iran and with the Palestinians, the Israel – US relationship, the status of the proposed legal reform in Israel, and Israel’s stance on Ukraine.

Dan Schwimmer has been actively involved with AIPAC, which lobbies to support the American-Israel relationship, for over 30 years.  His AIPAC roles have included being a key contact for one of San Diego’s members of Congress, a member of the National Council and past Chairperson of the San Diego Chapter AIPAC Council.  Until Covid, he regularly attended the annual AIPAC National Conference in Washington DC.

He has also been participated in various capacities with local chapters of UJF and JNF. One of Dan’s majors in college was History, with a particular focus on the Holocaust. He is a self-professed “news hound”, with a special emphasis on Middle East affair.

The Speaker Forum is designed to bring to Beth Israel a person with some expertise on a topic of interest for all adult members. Participation is not limited to Beth Israel members.
