Many of the characters in the Torah are also in the Qur’an. But each faith portrays their stories differently. Since our beliefs are shaped by these stories, it helps to understand how others see them. These five sessions will explore and compare the differing stories of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and Sarah and Hagar.

Rabbi Reimers, a frequent leader of Beth Israel weekly Torah study, is one of the first women to be ordained by the Conservative movement’s Jewish Theological Seminary of America. She was educated at Barnard College, (A.B., 1969) M.A., Columbia University, (M.A., 1971) and the Jewish Theological Seminary of America (M.A., ordination, 1990.).
