SPRING SESSION: SUNDAYS, MARCH 22, 29, APRIL 12, 2-4:30 PM
Leichtag Ranch, 441 Saxony Road, Encinitas

Over three Sunday afternoons, moms and girls will learn, share, craft, and create a ritual to mark this important transition in their lives.

Beneath the Surface is a program for mothers and bat-mitzvah age daughters to celebrate their relationship during this time of transition through learning, sharing, and ritual creation.  It offers mothers and daughters an oasis in space and time to connect – with each other (mother to mother, daughter to daughter, mother to daughter), with their Jewish roots and traditions, and with Jewish ritual – ancient and new, established and creative.  The program gives mothers and daughters the opportunity to learn about the ritual of mikveh as a lens through which they can see the possibilities for personal expression.  It also gives mothers and daughters the opportunity to create their own personal ritual to mark this unique time in their lives.  (Immersion is an optional part of the program.) Mothers of any or (no) religious background raising Jewish child(ren) are warmly
