Meet the Humans of Beth Israel – Bonnie & Gary Friedman

“We are looking forward to inspiring services and forming new friendships during our winters here. We have lived in Madison, Wisconsin, for 50 years and for the past few years have stayed at a condo in Pacific Beach during the winter months. We are both past presidents of our Madison congregation. Bonnie is a past regional Union for Reform Judaism president and currently serves on the Board of Overseers of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion for the Central (Cincinnati) District. Gary has served for 25 years on the local Jewish Federation Board. Bonnie loves doing needlework, reading, walking on the beach and being “Bubbe” to our two grandsons. Gary enjoys walking on Pacific Beach and sightseeing in the San Diego area. We love that at Beth
Israel everybody sings in services and we enjoy the choir, instrumentals, Rabbis and Rabbi/Cantor. We have two grown daughters, one a librarian in Madison, the other a CPA making Aliyah to Israel this summer with her husband and two little boys.”
