Tu B’Shvat Food Forest Festival

Sunday, February 9, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Coastal Roots Farm invites you to join us at our upcoming Tu B’Shvat Food Forest Festival on Sunday, February 9 from 11am-3pm!

This year’s festival theme is “Trees of Change,” honoring the critical role trees play in the health of our planet and in recognition that our actions make an impact. Our festivals bring 1,000 people of all backgrounds together and offer fun and educational outdoor Jewish and environmental experiences.

Here’s a sneak peek of some of our activities:

  • Tree care opportunities including mulching and seeding
  • Hands-on, educational activities on topics including climate responsibility, compost, and nutrition
  • Food Forest Tours
  • Kids Zone including crafts, a petting zoo, and the opportunity to become a Jr. Food Forester
  • Live music, libation station, and local kosher and vegetarian eats

Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can!

The Tu B’Shvat Food Forest festival is a labor of love produced in partnership with our community. Ticket prices are suggested donations and, like our Farm Stand produce and other programs, are offered on a pay-what-you-can basis.

We are committed to ensuring everyone in our community has access to education and community building as well as organic, fresh, local, nutrient-dense, food.

Ticket donations will fund food distribution serving Holocaust survivors in need, low income families at Vista Community Clinic, and food insecure families at Camp Pendleton.

Registration and Group Ticket Sales

Click here for ticket sales and additional information about the festival including volunteer opportunities. Should you wish to organize a group from your organization, feel free to contact us directly and we will be happy to process tickets on the back-end.

We invite you to share this opportunity with your community. A flyer is attached for easy distributing! We look forward to welcoming you back to the Farm and look forward to continue cultivating a vibrant Jewish community together.
