As we approach the winter season, we invite you to join us on Wednesday, December 6th, at 6:00 pm in the Feuerstein Family Activity Center at Beth Israel for a momentous occasion. We gather not only to celebrate our commitment to pursuing justice (tzedek) and fulfilling commandments (mitzvot) but also to embark on a new chapter of meaningful engagement with our community – the launch of our Social Action Network.

The driving force behind this initiative is our shared belief in translating the profound teachings of Torah into tangible actions, becoming true partners with God in the ongoing task of tikkun olam, or repairing the world. Guided by the values that define us as a congregation, we are thrilled to introduce the Social Action Network, led by dedicated individuals, Jason Bercovitch and Robin Layton.

What is the Social Action Network?

Our Social Action Network is designed to empower each and every congregant, providing a platform for you to initiate and execute programs both on and off our campus that resonate with our collective values and priorities. Through this network, we envision a community actively involved in the hands-on work required to make a positive impact.

How Does It Work?

Under the capable leadership of Jason and Robin, the Social Action Network encourages individual congregants to take charge of programs. Whether it’s gathering inspiring speakers, managing logistics, or detailing the execution plan, each congregant involved becomes an integral part of the process. The network ensures that the details of these initiatives are not just confined within a select group but are openly shared with the entire community.

Collaboration is at the heart of this initiative. By working together, we strengthen our community bonds and amplify our impact. This collaborative effort ensures that our collective energy is harnessed for the greater good, making a significant and lasting difference in the world around us.
