Men’s Club Yom HaShoah Annual Candle Packing

The Men’s Club of Beth Israel is holding its annual packing of Yom HaShoah candles that will be distributed to Temple members and friends of the Men’s Club. The event will take place this year on Sunday, April 7, where we will be packing and addressing candles for distribution.
The packing will start at 8:30 am until approximately noon in the David & Dorothea Garfield Social Hall. All volunteer help for this wonderful mitzvah is welcomed. Refreshments will be served in Cafe Beth Israel during the packaging event.
This year we will be mailing candles only to those who have indicated their desire to receive them. Candles will also be sent to all parents of religious school students and all new families to Beth Israel. We will also place candles outside the sanctuary during Shabbat services, beginning on April 12th through April 26 for those who have not received a candle but wish to have one. This year the candle lighting should be performed at sundown May 1, 2019.
