Men’s Club December Speaker Forum – Joellyn Zollman

Editing American Jewish History – Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Stories

Dr. Zollman shares tales from the trenches of teaching Jewish history, and how her experiences in classrooms over the last 20 years have shaped her approach to crafting a new American Jewish history curriculum.

Joellyn Zollman holds a PhD in Jewish History from Brandeis University. Her areas of specialization include religious material culture and American Jewish History. She has worked with exhibits and collections at the Smithsonian Institution, the Skirball Museum, and the San Diego History Center. Currently, she works as an educator for the Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning.

This program is open to the entire San Diego community, both men and women. Temple or Men’s Club Membership is not a requirement to participate.

There is no fee, but please RSVP for planning purposes. This event is held virtually on Zoom. After registering, you will receive an email containing information on how to join the event.
