The Men’s Club of Beth Israel of San Diego is proud to welcome Alan Nevin as our featured speaker at the March 18 Dinner Forum. Mr. Nevins topic will be “Up — the Next Five Years”. He will discuss the state of the economy both nationally and locally, including employment and housing with projections for 2015 for San Diego County.

Mr. Nevin is considered by many to be the “Dean of Real Estate Feasibility Research” in Southern California. His 30+ year background in demographic and economic research and forensic real estate expert witness services places him among the educational and analytical leaders in his field. Mr. Nevin is the Director of Economic and Market Research and Forensic Services at Xpera Group, the largest provider of construction and real estate consultants on the West Coast. He has an extensive background in forensic real estate expert witness services, demographic and economic forecasting, and real estate development and investment analysis.

His principal areas of expertise are forensic real estate expert witness services, real estate feasibility studies and advisory services to high net worth individuals. He serves the development, investment and legal industries with residential and commercial real estate valuations, real estate development market studies and litigation support.

Previous to his association with Xpera Group, Mr. Nevin served as a Principal with the London Group, Director of Economic Research, MarketPointe Realty Advisors, Senior Vice President of the Sanford Goodkin Research Corporation, Director of Real Estate Research for HomeFed Bank, Director of Research for ConAm Asset Management Corporation, one of the nation’s largest apartment property management and development firms, and President of ConAm Securities.

Mr. Nevin is a past president of the San Diego chapter of Lambda Alpha International, an international honorary land economics society and is a co-founder of the UCSD Economics Roundtable.

He holds a Master of Arts degree in Statistics and Research from Stanford University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration in Real Estate Economics from American University in Washington, D.C.
