THANKSGIVING SERVICE

First United Methodist Church of San Diego and Congregation Beth Israel will join together for the 43rd Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 12, at 4 p.m. First Church will host this year’s Thanksgiving service. Senior Rabbi Jason Nevarez will deliver the Thanksgiving message, and the choirs from both congregations will participate.

The service will be live-streamed as well. Communal worship will take place in the Sanctuary at First United Methodist Church (2111 Camino del Rio S. San Diego, CA 92108) at 4 p.m. followed by a reception and service project in the Linder Hall at 5 p.m. RSVP in not required to attend.

COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT

This year’s joint community service project will support Christie’s Place, an organization dedicated to empowering individuals affected by HIV/AIDS for over two decades. Through comprehensive social services, they cultivate hope and empower women, children, and families impacted by HIV/AIDS.

Please bring the following items, which are most needed: Shampoo • Conditioner • Toothbrushes • Toothpaste • Soap / Body Wash • Deodorant • Lotion • Women’s feminine products • Razors • Sunblock • Chapstick.
