Please join the greater Jewish community at Beth El on May 24 for a screening of award-winning documentary “Waiting for Mamu,” which tells the incredible, heartwarming story of how social worker Pushpa Basnet has dedicated her life to helping the children of prisoners in Kathmandu, Nepal by giving them somewhere safe to live, learn, and develop.

Pushpa and her 48 children were forced to evacuate their shelter after the 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastated Nepal on April 25, 2015, destroying their home. Tremors have continued since, with another 7.3 magnitude earthquake occurring just weeks after. Join us and learn how you can help Pushpa, and thousands of other Nepalese people survive the devastation and re-build their lives.
