Apply to our early childhood program

The Bill and Sid Rubin Early Childhood Center welcomes children starting at 3 months of age through pre-kindergarten. While current and prospective Beth Israel temple members receive priority registration, we embrace families from all ethnic and religious backgrounds. Synagogue membership is not a requirement for enrollment.

Tuition information is available upon request. Our tuition is comparable with other Jewish and secular care options in the San Diego area.

Steps for Applying

Submit an inquiry

The first step is to complete an inquiry form. This will allow us to learn more about your family and your care needs. Upon completion a member of our school office team will reach out to you to schedule a tour.

Take a tour

After submitting an inquiry form, our tours are available by appointment. We offer tours Monday through Friday between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm.

Submit an application

Families can enroll throughout the year as space permits. Once you have toured our campus we will send you an online application. Upon enrollment your child is guaranteed a spot in subsequent programs (if you enroll in our infant toddler center you are guaranteed a spot in our preschool and summer camp programs).

Helpful Reminders

We maintain a waitlist for our infant toddler center as well as our preschool. Current Bill and Sid Rubin Preschool families and members (or future members) of Congregation Beth Israel are given preference for admissions. To enroll in our school all children must be up to date with vaccinations required for their age.
