A congregational rabbi for over 40 years, Rabbi Davids is Rabbi Emeritus of Temple Emanu-El in Atlanta and remains actively involved with the Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles. He has a very extensive list of leadership positions including national president of ARZA from 2004-2008, Honorary Life Chairman of the Israel Bonds National Rabbinic Council, and elected member of both the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency and the Executive of the World Zionist Organization.

The Israel Movement of Reform Judaism honored him for helping to build bridges between Diaspora Progressive Judaism and the Israeli Reform Movement. He also served as the international president of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. Rabbi Davids and his wife Resa reside in Santa Monica and have been blessed with three children and eight grandchildren.

There is no straight line connecting biblical Judaism with the Judaism of our day. Judaism grew and dramatically evolved through its responses to major disruptions-ranging from the rise of Christianity to the birth of Israel. And more disruptions await us in the very near future. Our exciting journey continues, made without GPS.
