Join us for an engaging one-hour glimpse into CSP's recent artistic and cultural journey in Israel. Â From the beauty and challenges of the mixed city of Haifa reflected in art and community, to a surprising journey through the labyrinth of Tel Aviv's "New" Bus Station with Gila Levitan and a private group event with international vocal artist Victoria Hanna in a unique Jerusalem location, Shirel Horovitz, the chief curator of the ArtVenture, will recount the stories and lessons learned during our time in Haifa, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem.
Through sculpting, drawing and sound, Shirel Horovitz’s installations and performances explore the relations between cities and communities. Shirel earned her BFA from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design and her MA from the Interdisciplinary Art Program at Tel Aviv University and has been studying and practicing Zen-Buddhist inquiry meditation since 2007. Her works have been exhibited in museums and galleries across Israel and the US.  Shirel was a recipient of the Rabinovich prize for 2018 and served as the first artist in residence of the Weissman Arts program of the Jewish Community Foundation of Orange County in 2023. |
