Apple Cake:

1 ½ cups brown sugar

1/3 cup oil

1 egg

1 cup plain Greek yogurt (can substitute sour cream or buttermilk)

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 ½ cups flour

2-3 medium apples (I prefer Honeycrisp but you can use any apple you like)

Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

1/2 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon butter, melted

Honey Glaze

2 Tbsp butter

1 ¼ c powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1 Tbsp honey

1-2 Tbsp water

Equipment Needed:

Cake: Large mixing bowl, whisk rubber spatula, knife, cutting board

Topping: Small mixing bowl, fork

Glaze: small saucepan or microwave safe bowl and whisk, wooden spoon, or rubber spatula
