Conversational Hebrew Course – Tomer Osman

An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, repeating until Tuesday, November 14, 2023

This course is for Hebrew beginners, no writing skills are necessary. The class will meet on Tuesdays, September 26, October 3, 10, 17, 24, and November 14.
Students participating in this course will learn the following:
Use tools available on the internet and how to properly translate and pronounce Hebrew.
Translate English greetings and basic sentences into Hebrew and incorporate them into discussions.
Basic colors and shapes from classical Israeli children’s songs. Advanced lyrics in Hebrew using the English alphabet+ translation.
Lessons will begin by reviewing the previous class’s words and using them in a different context, for better memorizing. Words origin, story, and context will be discussed within the context of the Hebrew Bible.
Tomer Osman is a Senior Water Engineer (freelance). He was born and raised in Israel and moved to San Diego two years ago. He has 4 years of experience as a teacher (mostly math & science). Tomer possesses an extensive knowledge of Israeli-Jewish history, as well as an academic understanding of the Hebrew language, both biblical and contemporary.
Fee: $90 per person; Beth Israel members $75 per person.
