Marsha Lubick
Board Member

Marsha has over 30 years of experience in managing and leading development programs in health care and social service agencies. As Vice President for Philanthropy at Sharp HealthCare Foundation, she generated millions of dollars in donations for a variety of programs and capital projects and developed successful programs to steward relationships with existing donors and enhance community awareness of organizations. Prior to working at Sharp, Marsha played a critical role at several organizations including Vistal Hill Foundation, the Jewish Community Center and United Jewish Federation.

Marsha taught a variety of fundraising classes at the UCSD Extension School to help new professionals and volunteers enhance their development knowledge and skills. She was President of the local chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Estate Planning Council. Marsha served as a board member of the Special Needs Trust Foundation, the San Diego Women’s Foundation, and the San Diego Women in Healthcare Administration. Marsha has a Master’s degree in Public Health from Yale University and a BA from Washington University. In 2006, she was honored as the San Diego Outstanding Fundraising Professional by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

As a member of BI for almost 40 years, she has served on the Development Committee and Cindy’s College Crew Committee. Marsha has two children who participated in Beth Israel’s religious school and had their b’nai mitzvahs at Beth Israel. Marsha was part of the 2016 adult b’nai mitzvah program and has been a member of a Beth Israel chavurah for 38 years. She and her husband, Herb, were married at Beth Israel in 1984. Now retired, Marsha volunteers at Sharp Hospitals, Sharp HealthCare Foundation, Women Give, and the Cygnet Theater. She enjoys a myriad of classes at UCSD, the Community College District and Beth Israel.
