Andrew Garman

Andrew and his wife Kathryn joined Beth Israel in 2017. He recently retired as Founder and Managing Director of New Venture Partners LLC, a venture capital firm, formerly the venture arm of Bell Labs. He began his career as a bench scientist in areas related to climate science, a continuing passion. He has been President of the Stanford Business School Alumni Association and served on the Boards or Advisory Councils of the Stanford Business School, Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Purdue University Science and Engineering, the Technology Strategy and Innovation Committee of the US Council of Competitiveness, and the Board Executive Committee of Temple Sinai of Summit, NJ. Currently, he is Managing Director of Garman Ventures LLC, an angel investment firm; serves on the board of Clics, a salon technology venture; is a member of the Finance Committee of Beth Israel; and was recently named Vice Chairman of The San Diego Museum of Natural History.
Andrew holds an A.B. Engineering and Applied Science from Harvard College, an M.S. Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. (Arjay Miller Scholar) from Stanford University.
