WBI is excited to partner with Caring Community and Sharsheret (The Jewish Breast and Ovarian Cancer Community) for our October Rosh Chodesh event. The themes for Rosh Chodesh Cheshvan are faith, follow thru and grounding. October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To honor these, we will be having a presentation on Women’s Health with Laurie Greenberg, MD, OB/GYN.

Dr. Greenberg’s private practice at IGO Medical Group includes gynecology and the full range of women’s healthcare, including contraception, pregnancy planning, fertility, and menopause. She has a holistic, comprehensive, collaborative approach to wellness, and enjoys working with teens and women of all ages to help them achieve their health-related goals.  Dr. Greenberg graduated with honors from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse where she received awards for her work in research and in ethics. She received her postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynecology from the Department of Reproductive Medicine at the University of California, San Diego where she received the Resident Research Award. Prior to joining the staff of IGO Medical Group in 2000, Dr. Greenberg spent nearly eight years in an OB/GYN private practice in San Diego where she led a staff dedicated to a nurse-midwife/physician collaborative care model for the under-served female population.
