Please join Women of Beth Israel and our distinguished speaker Dr. Shawn Singh Sidhu for this very important conversation around the impact Social Media is having on our society. The event will take place via Zoom; 45 minutes presentation by Dr. Sidhu and the remaining time will be used for discussion and answering any questions.

Dr. Shawn Singh Sidhu, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California San Diego where he currently serves as Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Program. He also serves as Associate Medical Director at Vista Hill Foundation where he is Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Native American SmartCare Program, and he provides clinical services to at-risk teens at the  MERIT High School Partial Hospitalization Program and the Southern Indian Health Council to Kumeyaay youth and families.   Dr. Sidhu has contributed to 87 articles and book chapters, and has given 108 national, regional, and keynote presentations. He is currently a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, where he serves as a Councilor at Large (elected position), and Chair of the Clinical Essentials Committee and the Annual Review Course. Dr. Sidhu has also been featured in the local news 12 times, and has been features in two full length feature film documentaries (“Mental Health: Youth, Communities, Families,” and “Vape”).
