This year marks the 37th year we have a shared interfaith service on Thanksgiving Eve with First United Methodist Church (2111 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, CA 92108). The service will be held at the church this year. Rabbi Berk will speak and our combined choirs will sing. A reception will follow the service.

FOOD DRIVE FOR MAMA’S KITCHEN

Together with the First United Methodist Church (2111 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, CA 92108), we will collect food at the Thanksgiving Eve worship to benefit Mama’s Kitchen, a support organization for those living with HIV/AIDS. Mama’s Pantry, a program of Mama’s Kitchen, provides a nutritional shopping opportunity at no cost for men, women and children of San Diego County affected by HUV/AIDS.

We will be collecting food all month of November, prior to the Thanksgiving Eve worship event. There will be 2 bins on the Beth Israel campus starting November 3rd. You can help by purchasing one or more items from our wish list and dropping it in one of the bins.

• Instant oatmeal packets
• 24 oz bottle cooking oil
• 16 oz jar of peanut butter
• 16 oz jar of jelly
• Spaghetti sauce
• Boxes of pasta
• Packets of pasta dinners

• Canned goods – fruits, soups, vegetables, chili, pasta & beans
• Canned tuna fish/salmon
