This sample “Taste of Melton” lecture will focus on the evolution of the people of the province of Judea from Judeans– an ethno-geographic community, to Jews– a religious community, who established a Jewish Kingdom for about 100 years before becoming a vassal of Rome. Melton is a fun and open way to learn the basics (and beyond) of Judaism in a pluralistic environment designed for adults at all levels of knowledge and background.
