Please join us for our SPECTACULAR Spring Gala in roaring 20s style

Anticipation is building for Beth Israel’s Let’s Play Spring Gala, a spectacular fundraiser in roaring 20s style! Our emcee for the evening will be Emmy Award winner Dan Cohen, co-anchor of CBS News 8 This Morning and CBS News 8 at 11:00 a.m.  SHENANIGANS will include the whole kit and caboodle: a snazzy silent auction, craft beer tasting, swell 1920s-era amusements such as bocce ball and croquet, and our very own glamorous Chai Life Nightclub featuring Billie, Pate, and AASD Award winner Debra Wanger!

Debra Wanger has won Billie, Pate, and AASD Festival Awards for her San Diego theatre and cabaret appearances. San Diego theatre audiences may recognize her onstage from the La Jolla Playhouse, San Diego Musical Theatre, Cygnet Theatre in Old Town and New Village Arts. She has been featured in Berlin to Brooks and the Richard Rodgers Centennial Celebration at the University of Judaism. The Miami Herald hailed her “a comic sparkplug.” Debra has also appeared at Vantage Theatre, the Lawrence Welk Dinner Theatre, La Jolla Stage, Lyric Opera San Diego, and in the Pate Award-winning San Diego premiere of Triumph of Love.

Dan considers it an honor and privilege to help the people of San Diego begin each day. He started at San Diego’s #1 TV station, KFMB, in 2002. Dan’s passion, enthusiasm, and energy quickly led to a full time position as morning anchor in 2004.
