Robbery of the Heart follows a Holocaust survivor from Connecticut, Harry Weichsel, as he returns to his home town of Wetter, Germany to mark the 70th anniversary of Kristallnacht. The film captures how the townspeople react to incidents of anti-Semitic vandalism during the commemoration. This is a complex story of forgiveness, reconciliation, and unity in the face of evil.

Introduction and Post-Film Q&A with the Filmmaker, Micah Brandt. Micah Brandt started filming in 2001. He studied film at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and Line Producing at the University of Barcelona in Spain. Robbery of the Heart is Micah’s Directorial Debut.
