How do you become a better person?

Most of us know the traits to which we ought to aspire. The question is, how do we translate whatever our values are into the life that we actually live? Does Judaism offer a path which focuses on internally purifying the heart as well as externally governing particular behaviors?

To this question, Jewish spiritual tradition has an answer: concentrate on the virtues that are most centrally expressed in ethical action. Then, through introspection and self-accounting, each of us can determine where we are falling short and self-improvement can begin.

Join Rabbi/Cantor Bernstein and learn about an insightful discipline for self-development called Mussar, complete with meditative, contemplative, and other well-developed transformative practices designed to penetrate the deepest roots of the inner life.

No fee, but please RSVP below at least one week in advance. For more information contact Program Director Ilene Tatro; itatro@cbisd.org or call 858 535-1111, ext.2516
