When Good Ears Go Bad; Why Can’t I Hear Anymore?

Beth Israel’s Men’s Club is pleased to announce that David Ward Ph. D, San Diego representative for the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) will be our guest speaker at a Sunday Luncheon on November 11^th at Congregation Beth Israel.

Are you (or someone you love) among the millions of U.S. adults who could benefit from using hearing aids? If so, join us to learn about hearing loss and hearing devices. David will provide us with an informational presentation on this subject. 

The HLAA represents 48 million members, providing information, support and advocacy to people with hearing loss.  They introduce their members to new technology that can aid them in learning to hear better.  David is also hearing impaired and will share some of his own personal experiences with you.

 Nothing will be for sale at this luncheon event.  This program is open to the entire San Diego Community, both men and women. Temple or Men’s Club membership is not a requirement to attend. Bring your partners, friends and neighbors.

The 2017 “Over the Counter Hearing Aid Act” allows adults with mild-to-moderate hearing loss to buy less expensive hearing devices without having to see a medical professional. “Hearables,” “wearables,” and new kinds of microphones that allow you to hear in a noisy environment may allow some people to not even need a hearing aid.
