6:30 – 7:00 pm – Dinner; 7:00 – 8:00 – Speaker Presentation
Please join the Men's Club Speaker Forum on July 17 for dinner and socializing followed by our featured speaker, John Lefter, President of the Beth Israel Board of Directors. The monthly Dinner Forum brings to Beth Israel distinguished speakers with expertise on a variety of topics. ALL adult members of the congregation are welcome! A Zoom option is available for those unable to attend in person.
This evening John will share highlights of his personal story, including his path to membership and then leadership at Beth Israel. He will give us his perspective on progress to date on temple priorities such as the Strategic Initiative and the Capital Campaign. John will discuss his own priorities as Board President, which he outlined in the Beth Israel Summer Quarterly: 1) Ensure a sustainable financial future; 2) Support efficient and effective governance; and 3) Encourage active engagement by current and prospective members. John has agreed to reserve at least half of his time for your questions and comments.
A deli dinner is available beginning at 6:30 pm. The dinner fee is $20 (payment may be made on line or at the door by cash or check).
Please RSVP below no later than November 15, so we can plan for enough seating, food and desserts.
Art Supplies to Send to Israel Preschools
PLEASE BRING Art Supplies to Send to Israel Preschools!
Starting this month, Men’s Club is supporting a new, yearlong project by Beth Israel’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) program to send much needed art supplies to pre-schools in Israel. After filling a suitcase with art supplies, ECE will ask a preschool family to deliver it when they travel to Israel or when a family member returns to Israel from a visit here. ECE also welcomes donations of used suitcases for that 1-way trip to Israel.
Men’s Club will collect your donated art supplies at this Dinner Forum and our future events. You can also bring your donations any time to the preschool office. Please choose art supplies suitable for pre-schoolers and safe to ship (e.g., no liquids or permanent markers), Examples include washable markers, crayons, stickers, safety scissors, colored pencils, glue sticks, colored tape/ribbon and construction paper, modeling clay or Play-doh, pipe cleaners. THANK YOU!
