Men’s Club December 2018 Dinner Forum

Wednesday, December 19, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

“Greenhouse Gas Emissions Accelerating Like a ‘Speeding Freight Train”
“Del Mar beachfront property owners facing ‘Managed Retreat

We are seeing these headlines every day. Based on overwhelming evidence of man-made climate change and its effects, we must eliminate our use of fossil fuels and other activities which create greenhouse gases (GHGs).  This presentation on climate change awareness will be based on Al Gore’s approach to society’s response to climate change.  In this approach he emphasizes three aspects of this response: Must, Can, and Will.

Our speaker on December 19 will be Robert Gilleskie, P.E., CEM, LEED AP, who has more than 30 years experience in energy management and power quality, including 20 years at San Diego Gas & Electric. He also served as Director of Engineering at the California Center for Sustainable Energy. He has authored numerous articles on power quality and energy technologies and lectured on the topics in Europe and the US.  A Navy veteran, he received an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 1979, and an MBA from San Diego State University in 1988.

This program is open to the entire San Diego community, both men and women. Temple or Men’s Club Membership is not a requirement to attend.

The fee is $18.00 with an RSVP, $20.00 without an RSVP and includes a deli buffer. You may RSVP below. If you wish to register via phone, contact us at 858-900-2598 or send us an email at cbimensclub@gmail.com.
