Astronomy Night: Come Stargaze during the First Quarter Moon

Join host Mike Chasin for a night of stargazing at Hilltop Park. Mike will bring his telescope and guide folks in viewing and identifying the moon, star clusters, constellations and various other objects as the night sky permits on this First Quarter Moon night. Those that would like to attend and also bring their own telescope are welcome to do so as there will be time to set up before sunset. For those without a telescope, Mike will graciously share his for your viewing delight. Hilltop Park has plenty of greenspace and playgrounds for those that would like bring their family for a picnic beforehand. All family members are invited, but we ask that children be supervised around the telescope equipment. A reminder you might want to bring a stepstool for smaller children to reach up and see through the telescopes. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP here.
