The Florence Melton School of Jewish Learning engages adult learners in a life-enhancing study of Jewish texts and ideas that nurtures and deepens Jewish community worldwide. Join the San Diego Melton School for our 2020-2021 Core curriculum: Rhythms of Jewish Living, taught by Rabbi Ralph Dalin, and Purposes of Jewish Living, taught by Dr. Joellyn Zollman.

Rabbi Ralph Dalin serves as the Jewish Community Chaplain on behalf of the Jewish Federation of San Diego County. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history from U.C. Berkeley and a master’s degree in rabbinical ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary. Rabbi Dalin has been teaching in our community’s Melton program for over fifteen years.

Joellyn Zollman is a historian and curator who holds a Ph.D in Jewish History from Brandeis University. Dr. Zollman has been teaching in our community’s Melton program for ten years.
