Interfaith Thanksgiving Service
Wednesday, November 25, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
This year marks the 40th year we have a shared interfaith service on Thanksgiving Eve with First United Methodist Church. The service will be held virtually at Beth Israel.
Lift your spirits with joyful music from the combined choirs from previous years, liturgy, and a wonderful interchange with our community’s new spiritual leaders: The Rev. Trudy Robinson (read her bio here) and Rabbi Jason Nevarez, as they explore this year’s theme: Home, Humanity, and Holiness. Two associate clergy from First United Methodist Church are also participating, Rev. Dr. Hannah Ka and Rev. Tamara Walker as well as Rabbi Cantor Bernstein and Rabbi Gimbel.

FOOD DRIVE FOR MAMA’S KITCHEN
With the tremendous support from their community, Mama’s Kitchen prepares and delivers nutritious meals for their neighbors struggling with AIDS or cancer who are too sick to shop and cook for themselves. Together with hundreds of volunteers, businesses, and community supporters, Mama’s Kitchen strives to help their clients stay healthy, preserve their dignity, and keep their families together by providing free, culturally appropriate home-delivered meals, along with pantry services and nutrition education. At Mama’s Kitchen, they envision a community where all individuals with critical illnesses are no longer vulnerable to hunger.
This year we have the opportunity to support them through two different virtual fundraisers. Click HERE to learn more on how to support Mama’s Kitchen this year.
