Join us for a compelling evening with two exceptional Israelis, who are expert tour guides, public speakers, and senior reserve officers in the Israel Defense Forces. Major Ilan Shulman and Lieutenant Colonel Amit Grinfeld, our guide from Beth Israel's Solidarity Mission, will bring their expertise in the areas of historical and geographical context for current events, as well as how public relations and propaganda play an integral part in times of war. Both Major Ilan Shulman and Lieutenant Colonel Amit Grinfeld continue to receive up-to-date information that pertains to the topics that they will be speaking about that they will integrate into their presentations.
Major Ilan Shulman will explore the landscape of Israel and the evolving threats that the country faces. He will provide historical and cultural context for current terrorist organizations in the Middle East, as well as discussing intergroup relations.
Lieutenant Colonel Amit Grinfeld will provide background on radicalization, indoctrination, and misinformation as context for 21st-century propaganda. He will discuss how we can advocate for truth in a time of war and misinformation.
