DayTimers Speaker Series: Stan Schatt

Thursday, March 16, 2023 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

$5

Will artificial intelligence, robots, and other emerging technologies replace human workers in the near future? Dr. Stan’s Schatt’s latest research reveals which professions and industries are in the most danger and what people need to do to make themselves indispensable. Learn what kinds of new jobs will be created and what “soft skills” people will need to polish to survive in the workplace and what survival strategies they will need to deploy. Schatt also describes the major changes government and educational institutions will need to make to survive growing unrest driven by unemployed workers.

Stan Schatt holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry and advanced degrees in literature and business. His academic career included teaching stints at USC, the University of Houston, and Tokyo and Keio universities where he served as a Fulbright professor. Schatt also chaired the Telecommunications Management department at DeVry Institute of Technology. He served two decades in senior management positions for several leading global technology research consulting firms. Schatt is the author of fifty books that include textbooks covering telecommunications, data communications and computers as well as several mysteries and science fiction novels. Business Expert Press will publish Still Room for Humans: Career Planning in an AI World later this year. Schatt also facilitates the Foreign Policy Association’s Great Decisions class for the San Dieguito chapter of the Brandeis National Committee.
