What better way to ring in the Jewish New Year than learning how to make a delicious homecooked meal that your friends and family will love?! Join cooking coach Debbie Kornberg and special guest chef Lior Lev Sercarz for a live virtual cooking class where you will learn how to prepare two crowd-pleasing Rosh Hashanah side dishes inspired by family traditions with a modern flare. Shopping list and recipes are provided in advance so that you can be prepared to cook along with Debbie and Chef Lior in your own kitchen.

Chef Lior, the Co-Founder and Chief Culinary Officer of the Galilee Culinary Institute (GCI) by JNF-USA, will also provide an update on GCI, the one-of-a-kind culinary institution. Located in the heart of Israel’s northern Galilee region where fertile lands, mountains, and rivers create an unparalleled location for a thriving agricultural sector, GCI by JNF-USA is expected to transform the Galilee into a thriving culinary hub.

On the menu is an Ashke-Phardi Rosh Hashanah Salad, a beautiful blending of Debbie’s Ashkenazi upbringing and flavors and traditions of Sephardic/Mizrahi cooking. Our second dish is Silan Roasted Carrots, a simple yet elegant plate directly from Chef Lior’s kitchen.
