Kimberly Carnot and her wife, Traci Carpenter, joined Beth Israel in 2010 after relocating from Alaska in 2007. An attorney, she has negotiated business contracts and advised senior leadership across most of the San Diego higher education institutions (UC San Diego, University of San Diego, San Diego State University) for more than 15 years and has served as Senior Legal Counsel at Sharp HealthCare. Her portfolio includes extensive experience in construction, real estate, and facilities management along with organization planning, operational efficiency and change management. She currently serves as Chief Financial, Operations, and Strategy Officer (CFO/COO/CSO) at the San Diego Jewish Academy. Kimberly serves on the board of directors for Hillel of San Diego and is a former board member of Jewish Family Service.
A native of Maryland, Kimberly received her Bachelors from Washington University in Saint Louis, and her Juris Doctorate and Masters of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. She is licensed to practice law in California, Maryland and Alaska. Kimberly and Traci, along with their children, Emma and Harley, who attend and work at Beth Israel’s Religious School, live in Del Mar. Kimberly is a 4th generation member of Beth Israel.
