Jay and his wife Annette became members of Congregation Beth Israel in 2019 after relocating to San Diego from New York City. Since then, Beth Israel has become a meaningful part of their family’s life. Their son, Henry, is a student at the Bill & Sid Rubin Preschool.
Jay’s connection to the congregation has deepened through active volunteerism and leadership. He began as a High Holy Days Security Observer and later joined the Assistant Rabbinic Search Committee, offering thoughtful insight during a time of transition. In 2024, Jay completed the Beth Israel Leadership Development Program, further equipping him to contribute to the synagogue’s growth and vision. He currently serves as a member of the Finance Committee, where his professional expertise is a valuable asset.
