Tanya earned her law degree from UC Hastings and enjoyed practicing child advocacy law on a pro bono basis while drafting real estate contracts. Tanya was named Santa Clara County Attorney Volunteer of the Year in 2004 by the Santa Clara Bar Association for her 400 plus hours of pro bono service. After law school graduation, she became a certified Ashtanga Yoga instructor and taught yoga classes at Stanford University and around Palo Alto. She and her husband, Andrew, decided to move back to Southern California and became involved with Beth Israel when their two daughters (Milena and Natasha) attended the Preschool. Both girls have now transitioned from the Preschool to religious school.
In addition to her volunteer commitments at her children’s’ elementary school, Tanya enjoys hiking, training for triathlons and enjoying nature with her family. She looks forward to her annual summit of Mt. Whitney and will add a first-time ascent of Mt. Rainier this Fall with her sister.
