A member of Beth Israel for eight years, Elissa Shuchter quickly and energetically channeled her career interests and achievements into her volunteerism. A graduate of CBI’s Leadership Institute, Elissa is Chair of the Adult Education Committee, where she helps develop and oversee the implementation of adult Jewish educational programming; serves as Co-Coordinator of the Saturday morning, Lay-Led Minyan Service; and has recently served on the Membership Committee, where she helped develop new protocols and initiatives to enhance the integration and retention of our members.
Elissa has extensive executive management experience, with full P & L responsibility, in both the direct marketing and retail sales industries. As a member of CBI’s Board of Directors, she seeks to utilize her strategic business planning and management skills to help identify critical issues and goals that will ensure CBI’s continued growth and success and to implement effective solutions and policies to achieve those objectives.
Prior to her 35 years in business, Elissa’s post-graduate degrees led to a decade long college teaching career in History and the publication of two research articles in prestigious historical journals.
