Congregation Beth Israel offers opportunities for students of various ages and abilities to participate in creating music. Rabbi/Cantor Arlene Bernstein, who directs our youth music program notes that "Music often provides healing for the spirit. Youth Choir The Youth Choir, comprised of singers in Grades 2 - 6, rehearses every Sunday that Religious School is in session. Pizza and juice will be served to Youth Choir members from 11:30 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. Youth Choir rehearsal will follow from 11:50 a.m. - 12:35 p.m. in the Foster Family Chapel. Parents may pick up children at 12:35 p.m. Teen Choir Our congregation has the rich treasure of a magnificent core of talented teenagers who can elevate your soul with their sound. They help lead worship at Family Services as well as sing at concerts and special events. Teens who have begun their Bar/Bat Mitzvah studies at CBI are eligible to join the Teen Choir. One People, Many Voices Benefit Concert The talented youth of Congregation Beth Israel performed a benefit concert and raised thousands of dollars to provide musical intruments for the newly completed music conservatory at the Meir Shfeya Youth Village in Israel. The Youth Village is a residential center that sets Israel’s disadvantaged children on the path to a successful future.
