All congregants are invited to participate in our Mother's Day fundraiser, a "Not for Mother's Only" opportunity to recognize the special women in your life.
Your honoree(s) will receive a beautifully designed card acknowledging your donation. Proceeds will benefit temple programs receiving ongoing support from WBI, including Religious School scholarships, camperships, B'nai Mitzvah and Confirmation gifts, to name a few.
To ensure that your cards are received by Mother's Day, May 9, we ask that your donation be received no later than Friday, April 30. Please download and fill out this form and mail or fax to:

ONGOING PROGRAMS
Two Ways You Can Help WBI Support Homeless Women at Rachel's Women's Center
1. Join us on the second Sunday of each month at 5:00 pm as we prepare and serve dinner to 30 homeless women. It is easy, fun and very rewarding. Wait until you feel the hugs and enjoy the smiles of our supper guests. The next dinner is Sunday, April 11.
2. Donate toiletries, unused cosmetics, underwear and socks for the women. Collection baskets are at all WBI events and in the CBI lobby. Here is a list of items that are needed everyday for over 120-150 women:
- Small size toiletries
- Sunscreen
- Chap stick/lip balm
- Hair brushes
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste
- Travel water bottles
- New socks and ladies underwear
For more information contact Julianne Markow.

Cafe Beth Israel
Open Sundays, During Religious School, 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Religious school parents as well as others visiting CBI on a Sunday morning can relax in the social hall and enjoy bagels, cream cheese and coffee along with television, newspapers, wifi access and CBI library books for browsing.
Cafe Beth Israel is sponsored by Men's Club and WBI.
Bar/Bat Mitzvah Donations
The Women of Beth Israel donate in many different ways to the CBI community. The loving gift of candlesticks and/or Kiddush cups we give to the B'nai Mitzvahs each weekend is one such example. These donations are made possible through your membership dues and WBI fundraising events.
WBI Ushers at Shabbat Services
Women of Beth Israel began ushering September 1, 2007, at the Friday Shabbat Services in a dual effort with Men's Club. We think it is wonderful for the women of our temple to be sharing in this experience. Those who have ushered say it is truly a joyful experience.
Remember all members of WBI are welcome to usher at Friday night services, so please contact , Program Chairperson. This is an excellent way to better acquaint yourself with other members of our Congregation Beth Israel family.
